UD Research Office is hosting a multi-tiered program aimed to answer questions and equip faculty with success strategies to gain NIH funding. The program starts off on April 11th with a ½ day workshop. The workshop will include two interactive sessions with Dr. Joseph Frascella, where he will present an overview of NIH as well as discuss how to create a successful NIH application. The day also includes faculty Q&A, UD, CTR ACCEL and DE InBRE resources and a networking lunch with successful NIH-funded faculty.

Legacy Research Institute

Dr. Joseph Frascella is currently the Vice President of Research at the Legacy Research Institute that is a part of Legacy Health in Portland, Oregon, and he directs a highly translational biomedical and neuroscience research program. Prior to this position, he served as the Senior Science Advisor to the Director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) within the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and also completed a special assignment for over a year as a Senior Research Scientist at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) working in the Office of the Vice President for Research.
