Broader Impacts
WORKSHOP
Broader Impacts Workshop Registration
Broader Impacts, or the potential for research to benefit society, is an important component of not only NSF proposals, but a growing number of other sponsors as well. Understanding and strategically implementing broader impacts activities are critical steps in writing a successful research proposal.
The UD Research Office and Community Engagement Initiative will host a workshop on Broader Impacts Tuesday, November 7, 10AM-4PM. Presented by Advancing Research Impact in Society (ARIS), the workshop will cover an overview of Broader Impacts (BI) and teach strategies for design and implementation of BI activities. Other topics discussed will include how to cultivate effective BI partnerships and how to effectively evaluate BI activities.
Registration is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. This workshop will be offered for “in-person” participation, and lunch will be provided. All researchers planning to submit to the NSF, including those who plan to participate in the upcoming NSF CAREER Academy, are encouraged to attend.
