| Limited Face-to-Face Human Subject Interaction |
This research includes face-to-face human subject interaction. This request is to restart IRB protocol 1534959-3. This study is examining the effect of 12 weeks of exercise on cerebrovascular and cognitive function in patients with kidney disease. We are already approved for the cerebrovascular and cognitive measures. Once participants complete baseline testing they will complete 12 weeks of exercise training in the Renal Rehabilitation program on the 2nd floor of the STAR Tower. The Renal Rehab program has been approved by the Health Advisory Committee and has been up and running since the fall. All participants will follow the COVID safety procedures in place in the program when exercising which includes wearing a mask at all times. All personnel already have campus access. |
| Physical Distancing and Density Requirements |
A minimum number of researchers (no more than 2) will be present in the data collection room with each subject. Research participants will wear a surgical mask and research personnel will wear a surgical mask and face shield. |
