Visitor Access Request This request is for a “visitor” to an on-site campus research facility.
Justification:

Collaborative imaging project with two researchers from Nemours. Researcher information provided below. Short summary of proposed activity:

Using neonatal rat pups as a model system, the aim of this study is to determine whether the PET scan with neuroinflammation specific radioligand [18F]GE180 can detect neuroinflammation associated with AHT in neonatal rat pups in a noninvasive and sensitive way. Combined with the high resolution of MRI modality, the MRI scan results will compare to PET scan results, and the presence of AHT will be further confirmed by H&E and immunohistochemistry studies. The combination of PET and MRI modalities to detect rat pup neuroinflammation may open up possibility of important prognostic marker and targeted therapeutic interventions in AHT human subjects, possibly improving outcomes.
