| Physical Distancing and Density Requirements | The microscope was installed into a new room so that the computer monitor can be seen from the doorway. This assists with social distancing, since an individual can stand outside the doorway and still see the operation of the microscope. The 6 foot distance will need to be broken to properly install and test the microscope by the Bio-Imaging Center staff. The company Zeiss has provided them surgical and/or KN95 masks and eye protection so that the UD close contact guidance can be strictly adhered to during the demo. |
| Visitor Access Request | This request is for a “visitor” to an on-site campus research facility. Justification: Ajay Joon and Alex Wahl will be coming on Monday February 22 at 11 am to install a microscope called the Celldiscoverer 7. This instrument is being look at as a replacement for the LSM710 confocal that was lost in the flood. It will take February 22-26 to install the system. On February 26h Sebastian Barreto Ortiz will come and stay until March 11th. Alma Arnold will assist with the final integration of the system. Sebastian Barreto Ortiz will run the instrument demonstration. Most of the Zeiss personnel will be interacting with each other and not UD individuals. Sebastian Ortiz will be the only individual from Zeiss that will have close contact with Bio-Imaging Center staff members and users. Ajay Joon will return with Jen Malloy on March 11th to uninstall the system and prepare it for shipment. |
