| Limited Face-to-Face Human Subject Interaction | This research includes face-to-face human subject interaction. I have an NIH funded study examining the impact of a stress reduction intervention on marital quality. 1 couple (both partners) at a time would attend 2 separate visits, one before and one after the intervention. 2 experimenters would be present to conduct both visits, for a total of 4 people max in my lab at one time. The extent of face-to-face interaction between the couple and experimenters is minimal. I have revised our protocols to limit interaction, and when they do interact they can easily stand at least 6 feet apart. |
| Physical Distancing and Density Requirements | My lab space has 6 separate rooms. We would have a max of 4 people in the lab at a single time. Both members of the couple (the research participants) would be in their own rooms the entire visit. Each experimenter would also be in their own other room. The only exception would be when we are providing the couple with instructions. At these times, one experimenter would instruct one partner whereas the other would instruct the other partner in their separate rooms. |
| Visitor Access Request | This request is for a “visitor” to an on-site campus research facility. Justification: All of the couples we schedule would be considered “visitors”. We have not started recruitment yet, so I do not have a list of their names. |
