| Physical Distancing and Density Requirements | The visitor will not be interacting with any research participants, only getting a tour of the lab from one of our lab members. They will follow the same distancing guidelines as outlined below.
For marker/sensor placement procedures, lab staff will have to be in close contact with participants. This contact will be limited to 15 minutes between any 2 individuals per data collection session. During any lab session requiring close contact, lab members will wear a surgical mask and a cloth mask. When close contact is not required, lab personnel will maintain at least 6 feet distance between each other and any participants. The KAAP Biomechanics Lab (room 108 STAR HSC) is 1900 square feet and so has the capacity for 15 personnel at a time. My lab totals 5 personnel, and so we would be within the density requirements at all times. Because my lab group shares this research space with other lab groups, we will maintain a shared calendar for scheduling to make sure only one group is in the lab at a time. We will post a sign on the lab door whenever the lab is in use to ensure that distancing and density requirements are maintained. The building spaces where we would collect data are large, open areas where social distancing is possible. A researcher will accompany a participant during this data collection and will be responsible for maintaining social distance between the participant and any other individuals in the building and for opening any doors. |
