| Physical Distancing and Density Requirements | The microscope will be installed in an open space by the workstation area, which will make social distancing much easier than placing it into one of our smaller microscope rooms. There is a large TV on the wall that can be used to help individuals demoing the microscope see the operation of the system. However, there will be instances when the 6 foot distance will need to be broken to properly install and test the microscope by the Bio-Imaging Center staff and users. Most of the close interactions will be between the individuals from Leica company. The company will provided them masks and eye protection so that the UD close contact guidance can be strictly adhered to during the demo. We have clean, new surgical masks and eyewear available. |
| Visitor Access Request | This request is for a “visitor” to an on-site campus research facility. Justification: A team of Leica engineers and specialists are will be coming this week to install a microscope called the the Stellaris tauSTEM super-resolution confocal microscope. This instrument is being looked at as a replacement for the Elyra super-resolution microscope that was lost in the flood. Anthony Choo will have close contact with Bio-Imaging Center staff members and users. |
