| Teaching Lab/Studio Access | This request includes Teaching Lab/Studio Access to prepare for fall 2020 classes. I applied for the “Return to NMR Laboratory” on behalf of 6first year graduate students who are taking my course “Practical NMR Spectroscopy”(CHEM603) in Spring of 2021. The curriculum requires all students to get training and to carry out experimental work in the NMR laboratory. To accommodate the University Covid-19 guidelines, the class will be divided into 3 or more subgroups, each has two or one students. In addition to the facemask, I will use a voice amplifier during the training and lab sessions to keep social distancing among the group. I will also work on the laboratory access scheduling to make sure to maintain the maximum occupants less than 3 and 5 for 045 BRL and 049 BRL,respectively, during the training and lab sessions. |
| Physical Distancing and Density Requirements | Located in 049 BRL (1540 sq ft) and 045 BRL (609 sq. ft), the CBC NMR laboratory is an open Core facility to serve the research projects on campus. We have developed a dynamic scheduling (door posting and online scheduling) that assures the social distancing in the lab while keeping the maximum occupancies of the lab less than 5 and 3 in 049 BRL and 045 BRL, respectively. |
